Dear WHEEL POWER Friends,

It is our prayer that you are staying safe and healthy from the threat of the COVID-19 virus and that your families are as well.

This past month has been filled with change, uncertainty and much concern for all of us. We have had to make major changes within our families, jobs, school, churches and just life in general. However, I hope these times are drawing all of us closer to the Lord and with our families, friends and neighbors.

By God’s grace, I believe we will navigate through these troubled times and be stronger in our faith, have more trust in Him and make positive decisions to protect our families and our Country during this ongoing pandemic.

Here’s a few words that came to my mind and are helping me:

Pray, Focus, Refresh.

PRAY for one another and especially for those who have the virus, their families and close friends. Pray for our Doctors, Nurses and all the first responders for their safety and protection. Pray for our President and leaders that their decisions with be directed by God and will be made “For the People”. God gives us instructions to pray for others in several places in the Bible. The apostle James tells us to “pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16).

FOCUS on God’s Word and what He is teaching you during this time. All things work together for His good if we trust and believe that He is Lord of ALL. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

REFRESH your body and soul. Use this time to relax, refuel and reflect on ALL the blessings the Lord has given to you and your family. We take so much for granted sometimes. For me I look at this time as a gift from God to pray and read His Word more, help others in need as I can, take time to rest myself so I will be ready to GO, whenever and wherever the Lord leads, so I can tell everyone about Jesus.

2020 VISION MISSION TRIP UPDATE:

Each week I am going to make a 2to 3-minute video and send it to the churches that would have been our host for our bicycle mission trip across America. I thought maybe my FB friends would like to see it too and pray with us for these churches and their local ministries. It was recorded yesterday, March 31. The very first video, introducing our virtual bicycle trip, is on our web site if you want to watch that one too – go to wheel power.org. God bless you all and stay safe and Healthy and pray for each other.

March 31 would have been our first day on our bicycles heading toward Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Since we were not able to actually do the trip this year, I am still praying for each church where our team would have been staying that night, also praying for their church members and praying for their communities and outreach ministries. Prayer is a powerful tool and so whether we are in your town or 3,000 miles away, we can always pray and God hears our prayers and answers them in His time and according to His Will. (I John 5:14: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”)

I just found your website. My sons are avid cyclists and the youngest of them, Ken, just lost his wife after she walked out on him in January after 22 years of marriage. Ken professed Christ as his Savior at a very young age and has after marrying the unbeliever that he married, he has been drifting away for all those years and staying away at a far distance to my husband and myself who are close followers of Christ. Today I was sending Ken a check to cover the cost of something he helped me order off of Amazon. I am a Senior at this time, so I had a problem. I decided to see if I had a good gospel tract I could send to him in a stack of tracts I pass out now and then. The 3rd one from the top was a gift from God. It was a 1998 gospel tract from your organization with Judy Bowman’s testimony inside. I just looked up your organization on the web and sure enough, I was able to put your website address along with the gospel tract and send it along with a note of thanks to him, and a suggestion to read the tract and your website address. God is never in a hurry and my husband and I are praying Ken will relate to the gospel tract testimony and renew or understand more clearly his need for Jesus in his life. You can pray for Ken with us that his salvation will be a true one after receiving this mailing and/or he will check out your website and want to know more. Thank you, Jesus, and thank you Wheel Power Christian Cyclists! God bless your ministry and God bless Ken’s life. Thank you! I prefer you not post this in case Ken chooses to visit your website.

    1. Thank you for sharing and we will be praying for Ken and your family. Trust you had a blessed Easter and thankfulness in our God’s love!
