ACT: Always Carry Tracts

Be sure to keep a supply of Christian tracts in your jersey pocket or in your bike bag.  This way you can give them out on your club rides or event rides that you do throughout the year.  Tracts are an easy way to share the Gospel with folks.  We also recommend our GOOD NEWS witnessing cards.  They are bright yellow and laminated and have the Gospel message spelled out in an easy to use witnessing format.

Judy Bowman’s personal testimony tract, “Can We Pedal Our Way to Heaven?” is available as a thank you for donating along with the GOOD NEWS cards, Gospels of John, New Testaments and much more.

RIDE SAFE AND REMEMBER TO GIVE ‘EM HEAVEN!

Disc Golf Ministry

Disc Golf is a Recreation Ministry of WHEEL POWER Christian Cyclists.  This fun sport provides exercise and opportunities for people to develop new relationships, grow friendships and strengthen one another in life and faith.

The DISC GOLF Ministry strives to be a family fun program as well as being used as a church outreach ministry.  We have found it to be very successful for witnessing at a variety of venues.

Steve Bowman, full time missionary with WHEEL POWER Christian Cyclists, is also the Disc Golf coach at Liberty University here in Lynchburg, Virginia.  He and the staff at Liberty have designed two very fun, yet challenging courses on the campus of Liberty University. These courses are open to the public and will provide you with great exercise and a fun experience.

Steve would like to help you get Disc Golf started in your community, on your church property, at a Christian Camp in your area or through your local Parks and Recreation program, he has the experience, the expertise and the desire to help you set up a Disc Golf Course, of 9 or 18-holes, for fun, fellowship and ministry outreach.

If you are not familiar with Pickleball please visit www.usapa.org and learn about one of the fastest growing sports in the World that started in the Seattle area in 1965.  You will also find on this web site the “Places to Play” menu.  It is there that you can look up your city and State and see where Pickleball is being played.  There are more than 4 million players today ranging in age from 5 to 95 because it is so fun, easy to learn plus once you try it you’ll want to play it forever.

“Is There Life After Pickleball” is my testimony tract written to encourage Pickleball players to read and hear the Gospel message. Several players around the Country hand out my tract, just as I do, when we play or compete. One day I received a phone call from a woman, who had received my tract, and asked for prayer. As we talked, she had many questions about Jesus, salvation, death and more. What an amazing privilege to lead her to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ over the phone. This year I also had the blessing to start another Pickleball ministry at a church in our area. It is wonderful to see the caring desire of this church family to want to reach their community for Jesus. If I can help you get a Pickleball ministry started through your church or in your town, please let me know. Or if you would like copies of my tract, please send me an email and I will mail them to you.
