Our founder, Judy Bowman, a soul-winning cyclist, was led by the Lord to start WHEEL POWER Christian Cyclists after she left her position as Assistant Dean at Liberty University in 1990. She saw what an amazing opportunity riding a bicycle provided to spread the timeless Truth of the Gospel message. Judy has been a single Mom since her son, Steve, was 3 years old (1974), and Steve has been working with his Mom in this ministry full-time since January 1999.

WHEEL POWER bicycle teams have pedaled throughout the USA more than 3 million accident free miles. We know that is a miracle from God and we thank and praise Him for watching over, and protecting us.  All of our team members have been blessed to have made hundreds, if not thousands of new friends.  Judy has personally pedaled in all 50 States and ridden her bicycle coast to coast 15 times all for the purpose of sharing Jesus with everyone she meets.  Another interesting statistic is that our teams have slept in more than 400 churches since 1993, which equates to about 7500 nights – mostly on airbeds on Sunday school room floors!!!  We have been blessed by the Lord to plant thousands of seeds in the hearts of lost souls and we praise the Lord and give Him the glory for all the people who have come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior over the years.
