It is our prayer that you are staying safe and healthy from the threat of the COVID-19 virus and that your families are as well.
This past month has been filled with change, uncertainty and much concern for all of us. We have had to make major changes within our families, jobs, school, churches and just life in general. However, I hope these times are drawing all of us closer to the Lord and with our families, friends and neighbors.
By God’s grace, I believe we will navigate through these troubled times and be stronger in our faith, have more trust in Him and make positive decisions to protect our families and our Country during this ongoing pandemic.
Here’s a few words that came to my mind and are helping me:
Pray, Focus, Refresh.
PRAY for one another and especially for those who have the virus, their families and close friends. Pray for our Doctors, Nurses and all the first responders for their safety and protection. Pray for our President and leaders that their decisions with be directed by God and will be made “For the People”. God gives us instructions to pray for others in several places in the Bible. The apostle James tells us to “pray for one another, that you may be healed” (James 5:16).
FOCUS on God’s Word and what He is teaching you during this time. All things work together for His good if we trust and believe that He is Lord of ALL. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
REFRESH your body and soul. Use this time to relax, refuel and reflect on ALL the blessings the Lord has given to you and your family. We take so much for granted sometimes. For me I look at this time as a gift from God to pray and read His Word more, help others in need as I can, take time to rest myself so I will be ready to GO, whenever and wherever the Lord leads, so I can tell everyone about Jesus.
2020 VISION MISSION TRIP UPDATE:
March 31 would have been our first day on our bicycles heading toward Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Since we were not able to actually do the trip this year, I am still praying for each church where our team would have been staying that night, also praying for their church members and praying for their communities and outreach ministries. Prayer is a powerful tool and so whether we are in your town or 3,000 miles away, we can always pray and God hears our prayers and answers them in His time and according to His Will. (I John 5:14: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”)
